The Internet and fundraising: threat or opportunity?
OUR FIRST WEBINAR - a free, live, online discussion - addressed one of the biggest issues in fundraising today: whether the internet offers a great chance to raise more cash and build better relationships with supporters; or whether it has the potential just to eat up charities' time and money.
Our expert speakers for this webinar were Jon Brooks, managing director of the Big Give; Howard Lake, founder of Fundraising.co.uk; and Jonathan Waddingham, charity champion at Justgiving. The webinar will be moderated by Adam Rothwell, director of Intelligent Giving. Nathaniel Ashford, website and e-communications manager at ActionAid, sent in a contribution, but could not speak owing to ill-health.

The webinar lasted for an hour, and comprised a 45-minute discussion from our speakers, and a 15-minute question-and-answer session. Audience members were free to ask questions throughout.
Topics covered included:
- How to take advantage of free tools on the Internet
- How social networking can dramatically improve the relationship between charities and donors
- How charities have successfully integrated their Internet and fundraising strategies
The webinar will take place at 3pm on 4 November. If you want to be in the audience, sign up below. If you have any trouble registering, please get in touch.
Why is Intelligent Giving doing this?
We thought it would be nice if we offered charities advice and help about how to become more effective. So we decided to run some webinars to bring together the views of experts from across the charity sector, and let any charity ask them questions. |
