Terms and conditions of usage (including public discussion areas)

Access to and use of this site (‘intelligentgiving.com’) is provided by Intelligent Giving subject to the following terms:

1) By using intelligentgiving.com you agree to be legally bound by these terms, which shall take effect immediately on your first use of intelligentgiving.com. If you do not agree to be legally bound by all the following terms please do not access and/or use intelligentgiving.com.

3) These terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

9) Intelligent Giving does not warrant that functions contained in intelligentgiving.com content will be uninterrupted or error free, that defects will be corrected, or that intelligentgiving.com or the server that makes it available are free of viruses or bugs.

You acknowledge and agree that such links are provided for your convenience and do not reflect any endorsement by Intelligent Giving with respect to the provider of such linked site or the quality, reliability or any other characteristic or feature of such linked site and Intelligent Giving is not responsible in any manner (including without limitation with respect to any loss or injury you suffer) for any matter associated with the linked site, including without limitation, the content provided on or through any such linked site or your reliance thereon. Intelligent Giving makes no representations or warranties with respect to any linked site: your use of any linked site is solely at your own risk. In addition, you should be aware that your use of any linked site is subject to the terms and conditions applicable to that site.

12) You agree to use intelligentgiving.com public discussion areas (including Message Boards) in accordance with the following Terms and Conditions of Use. These apply across all intelligentgiving.com public discussion sites and services. Please also read the Privacy Policy prior to using intelligentgiving.com public discussion areas.

12.1) The views expressed in intelligentgiving.com public discussion areas are those of members of the public and are not necessarily those of Intelligent Giving.

12.2) About your posts:

• Contributions must be civil and tasteful
• No disruptive, offensive or abusive behaviour: contributions must be constructive and polite, not mean-spirited or contributed with the intention of causing trouble.
• No unlawful or objectionable content: unlawful, harassing, defamatory, abusive, threatening, harmful, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, racially offensive or otherwise objectionable material is not acceptable.
• If you use multiple logins for the purpose of disrupting the community or annoying other users you may have action taken against your accounts.
• Be patient: users of all ages and abilities may be taking part in the relevant intelligentgiving.com discussion area.
• No spamming or off-topic material: we don’t allow the submission of the same or very similar contributions many times. Please don't re-submit your contribution to more than one discussion, or contribute off-topic material in subject-specific areas.
• No advertising
• Contributions containing languages other than English may be removed.
• No impersonation
• No inappropriate (e.g. vulgar, offensive etc) user names
• No use of any kind of automated tool, including but not limited to viruses, scripts, bots and other software, to try to collect information from the Site, to break into any of its servers or to otherwise disrupt the services provided by Intelligent Giving
• Deliberate misuse of the complaints facility is not permitted. If you persist in doing this action may be taken against your account.

12.3) Safety:
We advise that you never reveal any personal information about yourself or anyone else (for example: telephone number, home address or email address), and please do not include postal addresses of any kind. If you have a helpful address to share, inform the host of the relevant public discussion area using the 'Contact Us' link, and they will promote it if they see fit.

12.4) About the law:

• You may not submit any defamatory or illegal material of any nature in intelligentgiving.com public discussion areas. This includes text, graphics, video, programs or audio.
• Contributing material with the intention of committing or promoting an illegal act is strictly prohibited.
• You agree to only submit materials which are your own original work. You must not violate, plagiarise, or infringe the rights of third parties including copyright, trade mark, trade secrets, privacy, publicity, personal or proprietary rights.

12.5) If you're under 16:

• Please get a parent’s or guardian’s permission before taking part in any intelligentgiving.com discussion.

12.6) If you breach these Terms and Conditions of Use:
If you fail to abide by these Terms and Conditions of Use (and/or any variations in the relevant house rules) when taking part in an intelligentgiving.com public discussion service, your contribution may be removed and further action may be taken if deemed appropriate by Intelligent Giving.

This action may include your relevant account or accounts being placed into a temporary or permanent suspension of your ability to participate in any or all of intelligentgiving.com public discussion areas.

If you post or send offensive or inappropriate content anywhere on or to intelligentgiving.com public discussion areas or otherwise engage in any disruptive behaviour on intelligentgiving.com, and Intelligent Giving considers such behaviour to be serious and/or repeated, Intelligent Giving may use whatever information that is available to it about you to stop any further such infringements. Intelligent Giving reserves the right to delete any contribution, or take action against any account, at any time, for any reason.
