MIXED REPORTING FROM HOMELESS GIANT

This is one of London's biggest, and quietest, homelessness charities. A big chunk of its income comes from government, but it says it needs extra cash to run unconventional projects like a scheme to get ex-homeless people back into work through training. Apart from this, it provides a range of hostels and housing schemes (see box, right). 2006/7 saw continuing financial difficulties, with several projects closed because of a lack of funds. An outstanding annual review stacked full of info is let down by a confusing and vague annual report.
