TOP REPORT FROM CANCER CARE GIANT

Alongside Macmillan, this is one of the two hands-on cancer giants. They both perform research but similarities end there. Marie Curie gives free services to terminally ill patients, providing nurses for patients at home and running 10 hospices to the benefit of 25,000 people each year. Its research also concentrates on the latter stages of cancer. Not often do we get to use the word - excellent - when describing an annual report, but this one deserves it (and for a second year in a row).
