A MODEL OF CLARITY

The largest charity of its kind, RNIB fights every conceivable corner on behalf of blind and partially sighted people (see right), and tries to prevent blindness through education. A highlight of 2006/7 was a merger with the National Library for the Blind. The annual report is clear and informative, especially when it comes to describing exactly where money has been spent and why. It is also available in audio versions - a splendid example of accountability to donors and beneficiaries.
