INTERNATIONAL AID, CATHOLIC STYLE
It's been a busy year for this, the Catholic Church's official international-development charity. Working closely with local partner organizations in more than 40 poor countries, it's also been involved in educating Brits about its work. In 2006/7 157 volunteers and staff visited 431 schools. The annual report gives lots of details on the year's activities and future plans, but doesn't reveal much about the charity's targets.
