RAINFORESTS' DEFENDERS

Committed to the conservation of rainforests and the protection of indigenous peoples, this charity works in partnership with local NGOs and other international Rainforest Foundations. Amongst other things, it's helped to map the Congo and in 2005/6 assisted forest communities in Peru gain legal protection for their land. An excellent website and review complement a solid annual report, though it misses some key financial info.
