SERVING HUMANITY. BUT HOW?
This non-discriminatory outfit works in over 60 countries, and has the lofty goal of making a significant contribution to the eradication of poverty by 2020. In 2007 it managed to increase its expenditure by more than a third compared to 2006, and ran a micro-finance and child-sponsorship scheme, amongst other things. Its annual report is seriously disappointing, however. It gives little or no information on the charity's long-term plans, and doesn't even explain how it decides to allocate grants.
