NON-POLITICAL SIDE OF ENVIRONMENT GROUP

Friends of the Earth is split into two parts: FOE Ltd., which lobbies politicians and campaigns on political issues; and the FOE Trust, which undertakes less controversial work. The division is a result of the UK's weird charity laws, which prevent charities like the Trust from being too controversial. It also means that a donation to the Trust will only cover FOE's less political work - such as educating schoolchildren about the environment and helping people defend their local environment in the courts. The Trust's annual report is solid, but doesn't reveal anything about its future plans.
