EXPANDING IN SPITE OF FUNDING WORRIES

This charity provides palliative care, complementary therapy, at-home and hospice-based support to the 300,000 people of West Kent and East Sussex. Despite worries about NHS funding not meeting expectations, the hospice is looking to expand, and it says it will keep on training doctors in palliative care. The annual report fails to answer some of our pickier questions - how the hospice's trustees are appointed, for instance - but it represents a good effort, despite the low score.
