Working in a glass-walled capsule suspended from marble pillars, this outfit promises a unique experience to theatre-goers. In 2006/7 it produced more than ten plays and hosted 100 performances from visiting companies for the enjoyment of some 180,000 spectators. The second year of its play-writing competition went equally well, and the education department kept on working hard. But its annual report is poor, and needs to be more informative across the board.
