NOT AN INSPIRING PERFORMANCE

The LPO enjoyed a strong 2006/7 season - in spite of the fact that its main venue, the Royal Festival Hall, was closed - and its educational progammes also appeared to flourish. Children in particular benefited from 170 visits by orchestra members to their schools. But the annual report doesn't present the LPO in the best light, since it contains virtually no financial commentary, and there's no sign of any future plans.
