With 3,000 acres of land under its protective wing, 24,000 members, and a considerable number of enthusiastic volunteers, this charity is perhaps justifiably proud of itself. The financial uncertainties that haunted 2005/6 seem to have been overcome, and the results from 2006/7 promise a secure future. The annual report is admirably clear and informative.
