OK REPORT FROM FAST-GROWING LOBBYIST

The UK wing of the world's largest animal-welfare network, with partners in over 140 countries. It clearly wields a heavy lobbying club, changing laws and practices, especially in developing countries. 2006 was a year of impressive growth, with income up 51 per cent and spending on animal welfare up 27 per cent. The annual report is good but a charity this size should be even more forthcoming.
