SENSE AND DISABILITY

This international wing of the domestic charity works with 79 partner organizations to provide support and advice to over 15,000 deafblind people in poor countries. 2007-08 was apparently a successful year, with the charity's lobbying, we're told, resulting in introduction in Bolivia of a state special education curriculum catering for deafblind children, for instance. The annual report is clear and particularly strong on the targets the charity has met. But we'd like to see evidence of longer-term planning.
