NON-POLITICAL SUPPORT FOR HUMAN RIGHTS

Amnesty International UK (AIUK) is not a charity (see article), owing to the political nature of its work - so this separate body raises money mainly to support research. The two plan to merge when AIUK is eventually given charitable status. The annual report is short and competent, without being dazzling. It provides only basic details of what the charity spent its money on, although it makes more sense when looked at in combination with AIUK's overall report for the year.
