SMALL CHARITY, BIG IMPACT

This tiny charity, dedicated to helping children who have alcoholic parents, seems to be punching above its weight. Its helpline, answered by trained volunteer counsellors, answered over 15,000 calls in 2006. This was supported by a poster campaign highlighting its work and services. The annual report could be better, but for such a small organisation we don't want to quibble. And, in a nice touch, it particularly seems to value the work of its volunteers.
