WE HAVE BUILT THE SITE in a stunningly flexible (and complicated) open-source content management system called Drupal. It uses PHP and MySQL. More digitalia:

Our five computers are a motley collection of donated laptops and desktops operating on XP Home and XP Professional. After about a year trying, they now all talk to each other. Most of the time. Dave also bought an Asus EEE PC (before everyone else, in Dec 07, he points out) which he's constantly fiddling around with. |

Our software is a mix of Microsoft Office and Open Office, depending on the licenses we inherited with the machines. |

The body of the simpler pages is hand-coded HTML, with the help of Dreamweaver. |

We make intensive use of an internal wiki, which contains our various To-Do lists and a range of procedural info on maintaining the site. |

Our phone is a Cyberphone W Skype one, that looks and sounds like a normal phone but costs next to nothing. We also rely on a Logitech 1.3megapixel webcam and Twitter to update our About Us page. |
